i dont know what producers think when they sign the likes of him,its not taking their films to high grade, but it look like low one, actors(male lead) can work in punjabi flicks, only if content is good, these silly romantic flicks would have worked well if attempted, when punjabi cinema was on declain(like in late 90s or 2000-07).
even in dry phase of punjabi cinema, hindi film actor avinash wadhawan's films dard pardesan de n khalsa mera roop hai khas did well in overseas..

Maybe those films did well because of the lack of films at that time and also the distribution of original VHS prints. I remember watching Khalsa mera roop hai khaas on original VHS because most people did not go to theaters at that time and even DVDs weren't popular. However, Indian stores in overseas and India were notorious for making VHS copies and now DVD copies of even cam-rips. In the late 90's, films such as Shaheed-E-Mohabbat, Mahaul Theek Hai, and Shaheed Uddham Singh started to change things, but it was actually Jee Aayan Nu which forced most people into theaters. btw, I get what you're saying about romantic flicks.

jass, not just him but any they sign these days! N' now, let's not be biased about if non-punjabi's can act or not! atleast they're actors and not singers. lol
