The trailer of Honey Singh‘s upcoming musical Satan was released just 2 days back and it has already gained 76,000+ views. The trailer has raised Yo Yo’s fans’ expectations very high of this much anticipated video which is getting released on 12-12-12.

The full video has justreleased and the funny thing is that the song is actually called “Weed Pila De SATAN”.
The video is impressive as stand alone, but combined with the song makes no sense at all. The theme of the song, the way it was marketed and the way it was promoted, has nothing to do with the song. Add to that the fact that the song is in Hindi, it looses impact. Its evident that Honey Singh is catering to the National Audience through this song.
Directed By David Zennie who besides being a Lebanese-American Film Maker is one of the most sought after music video directors of Middle East. The trailer video says “Anurag Kashyap Presents” which is a bit enigmatic. May be the video is directed by both Anurag Kashyap & David Zennie or the full album is directed by Anurag Kashyap and this single video is directed by David Zennie. Or maybe, he is planning for a movie of some sort based on the concept.
The name itself is quite perplexing. Now traditionally Satan is St. Lucifer, the so called El Diablo, the Devil himself. Is Honey Singh presenting this album as the reincarnation of the same? Or is it a new fantasy based character? But it cant be denied that this seems to be a very good theme for a concept album. If true, this can be the first Concept album, not only in Punjabi music, but also the first in India.
Not to mention the large overdose of One World Government and Illuminati during promotion, but none of that was to be seen in the video.

The point in the video where the girl pulls out something from Honey Singh’s mouth is the main part! That is exactly where he sells his soul to the satan/devil. Bobby never agreed with the script of the movie. He asked for some changes which were never made so there aren’t any issues with his ability. About graphics of Ravinder Grewal, some time artist has to work according to the demand. You need to give look at his art work before concluding anything. He has serious skills!

Somebody has a serious case of jealousy of some kind. It’s always easy to write 3-4 lines full of hate for someone in terrible English. Let’s check out some stuff:
1. Bobby runs this website, which is like the only Punjabi website generating some quality content (+ none of it is glamours, cheap or abusive) + is the only website where a person like you can post a hateful comment and it doesn’t get deleted.

3. He is a proven amazing TV show host at Ki Haal Chaal Hai and does a live dial in show.
4. He is a Gold Medalist from Punjabi University in English.
5. Raula Pai gaya is the third most successful movie of last year in gross, hence his screenplay was better than 15 some films that released last year. (+ He didn’t write the script. Script was of the director. He wrote screenplay and dialogues)
6. Are you kidding? Amateur graphics? “Timetable” had the cutest animations and just read the youtube comments to see how many people loved the video just cause of those graphics. Or better, get your eyes checked.

If by ‘Concept album’ we mean, album based on a theme or presenting a story or some sort of film then Honey Singh isn’t the first to do this. Ravinder Grewal became trendsetter with his album ‘Fansi’ He, according to me, is master of experimenting with videos and bringing up new things in Punjabi music industry. Remember the video of ‘Uth ke saade 6 waje naha lia thande paani naal’ ?? Bobby veer you played a key role in creating those animations and ‘Kalli nu mil mitra’ That was superb!
