Another Punjabi singer joins the queue in Bollywood. We will soon be watching Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’souza dancing on the beats of Diljit Dosanjh and with Diljit Dosanjh in their upcoming movie Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya. Diljit has lend his voice to the song Pee Pa Pee Pa in the movie.
The lyrics of the song are somewhat goes like:

That’s a good point sim.. but at what point does it stop? is it wise for these punjabi singers to betray their own ideas and sing these fake punjabi songs? because even if it is upto to the producers and directors these artists are all doing this beacuse it will get them more money and fame..im not against the progress of punjabi music but lets not disguise this desegration of punjabi music as progress…i can’t even think of one song that had a serious meaning to it that was sung by a punjabi singer in bollywood…babbu maan sang rab na kare but that was in hindi…i wish these artists the best of luck i hope with all my heart that our people will make a bigger and better impact on not only bollywood but across the world…i just wrote these comments because if this was in some little known artists cd in punjab people would heavily criticize it and say it was bakwaas,,,just cuz it’s in bollywood doesnt mean we have to automatically think its good…since hindi movies are focusing so much on punjabi culture right now…now is the time to stand up and show who we truly are and break these pre conceived notions people have against us …
it’s funny how you guys at punjabi portal criticize alot of artists over their choice of lyrics but when it comes to a star like diljit then nobody has anything to say,,,i love diljits music and i don’t mind people twisting some words to make the song catchy,, but it seems like people only criticize smaller artists… this song has absolutley no meaning or purpose but its catchy so ppl will like it,,if a hindi singer sang these words everybody would say that they are ruining punjabi music but in reality punjabi artists do that more than anybody for example mika and daler mehndi,,,so if we want punjabi music to grow shouldn’t punjabi artists treat it with care and give good traditional punjabi music instead of selling out just because of the money and fame in bollywood…i live in america and i strongly support punjabi music and punjabi portal but these types of songs make everybody else in india think that punjabis are only good for drinking and acting like idiots,,,this contributes to the stereotypes that bollywood has about punjabis,sikhs,and sardars…maybe im being harsh but you have to admit that we might like these songs now but in the long run they are hurting our image not only in india but around the world
I don’t think its up to singers to choose songs.. its the producers n directors decide what they want in their films.. singers only choose songs for their own albums.
You will notice that we have stopped making any remarks or reviewing the albums and films for sometime. We no longer review any movies and albums because most of the online Punjabi community is full of fanatics and are hedonist fans to certain singers. Hardcore fans who don’t want to reason, but only know how to use abusive language in the worst way. hence, we only report now and let people make their comments.
Since you guys started reviewing the albums.. are u guys planning on writing reviews for the films as well?
