According to media reports flooding FB, two thieves robbed an internet cafe at gunpoint north of Cali, Colombia recently. Two men arrived to an internet cafe, hired two computers and sat down to do their thing for a bit. One of them logged in to his Facebook account.
Once down they got up to pay for their system use, pretended to be paying, they took out guns and got all the money from the internet cafe owner. The funny thing that happened was that the one who logged in to his Facebook forgot to log out of his account.
Police used it to trace his home address and drove to the criminal’s home picked him up and logged him in Jail.
Well-appointed internet cafes have signs that remind users to log out of any applications before leaving. But not everyone pays attention. So always remember to log yourself off Facebook.
