The long-awaited soundtrack of ace director Manmohan Singh ‘s film Ik Kudi Punjab Di was released on Thursday, August 12, 2010 at Rock in Rio, sector 43 Chandigarh. Ik Kudi Punjab Di stars Amrinder Gill, Jaspinder Cheema, Aman Dhaliwal, Guggu Gill, Gurpreet Ghuggi, Rana Ranbir, Kanwaljeet Singh, Deep Dhillon, Navneet Nishan, Neeta Mahindra, Balwinder Begowal, Tarshinder Soni, Sukhbir Razia and Surinder Sharma. The film ‘s Story, Screenplay and Direction has been done by Manmohan Singh and its being produced by Manmohan Singh and Ratan Bhatia. The music of the album has been composed by Sukshinder Shinda.The songs have been sung by Amrinder Gill, Sukhshinder Shinda, Pamela Jain, Labh Janjua, Rana Ranbir, Arvinder Singh & Bobby Sandhu. The song that already created a hype prior to the music release, Sochan vich is a slow number. The softness of the lyrics is equally justified by the soothing voice of Amrinder Gill. He seems to have sung this song effortlessly. The song is soothing to ears.
The title track of the film Ik Kudi Punjab Di stands out with its meaningful lyrics, the lyricist has done a job worth appreciating in delineating the existence of Kudi Punjab Di. The fast and energetic music compliments the lyrics of this woman-oriented song and so does the singing of Sukhshinder Shinda and Amrinder Gill.
The first sad number of the film Pyar Lai Ke has a nostalgic and sad feel to it. This beautifully penned song surely tugs at your heart. Amrinder Gill ones again proves his mettle in singing sad numbers with this song. The song will definitely work with the sad song lovers.
