The Folk King- Ode to Ustad Kuldeep Manak Ji

Folk King Kuldeep ManakTwitter was flooded with appraisals for Jazzy B, there were fans re tweeting the links redirecting us to YouTube, the link went viral with all fans following jazzy bains, there was much hype created by renowned pages on Facebook about a video, so what else could hamper me.

I went to YouTube and saw the video running with the title of “The Folk King|Official Video|Ustad Kuldeep Manak Ji RIP”. It started with the mesmerizing voice of Angrez Ali singing the “Chaar din khed lai, maujan maan la”, Malkeet Singh with “Yaaran da truck baliye”, Sukhsinder Shinda decorating “Maa hundi maa ,o duniya waleyo”, Manmohan Waris beautifully executing “Sahiban bani bhrawan di”, breakthrough of A.S Kang with “Chithiyaan Sahiban Jatti ne”, Balwinder Safri with “Nakhre bin sohni teemi”, and lastly Jazzy B with “Ranjhe di Kalli” bringing alive the undisputed king of Punjabi folk, Late Kuldeep Manak Ji.

The video is e released under the label of movie box, tuned by Aman Hayer and the live performance feeds filmed by Guvy Heer.

Jazzy B flaunts a black tee with Manak on the rear side, while legend’s life span on back. The collaboration revives the immense work by legend during 1968-2011. Kuldeep Manak Ji may not be physically present amongst us, but his works are, that are beautifully preserved by his fans and disciples.

Here a special mention about Jaswinder Singh Bains aka Jazzy Bains aka Jazzy B, who wholeheartedly served his master with untiring determination. Be it there with him while performing live at wolverhampton, travelling miles at the time of need to his family or launching a fine collaboration as a tribute to tumbi maestro. I must admit that jazzy b stands out be an inspiration for those who often tend to forget the ladder after scaling the walls of success.

This will be a second venture to bring out the works of legend after Maharajas featuring Yudhveer Manak and Kuldeep Manak himself who sang unfortunately for the last time.

The untimely demise of Manak ji may have brought a wave of affliction amongst his fans, but his kaliyan are always amongst us. We hope and firmly believe that this venture stands out to be perfect on-repeat track for music lovers.

Eagerly waiting for “The Folk King-Full version”. Thumbs up.

RIP Ustad Kuldeep Manak.
